With a close 3×4 inbreeding on Fandango, he was certainly made for saddle trot, which turned out to be his discipline. Purchased at a small price at auction from Mister Rayon, Eldorado du Pont did not look anything special, however…

This weak-legged horse reached semi-classic level, and as an example he finished in 2nd place in Prix Henri Ballière on 19 May 1996 on Caen racetrack. He was born a competitor and was very brave. He made it to the podium 39 times and ended his career with a record of 8 wins. His career earnings amount to 1,6 million francs ( €240,000 ). He is now at stud and proves right the horesetrainers who believed in him.
